Sasao Mitsuhiko

Mitsuhiko Sasao is known as the Painter of Red for such iconic works as his vivid red flowers and florist shops in Paris. He has a sophisticated and refined color sense, which has attracted a devoted following. The themes and concepts of his artwork and his eye for composition are considered unique. His successful career as a designer and his acclaim as a painter have made the “Sasao World” without equal. [Selected Biography]
Born in Shizuoka prefecture.
Graduated from design course, Tama Art University. He was active in the advertising industry, serving as a creative director at a foreign-affiliated advertising agency and becoming vice president of production. While working, traveled to Europe many times, especially to Paris. Began painting in his free time.
