Koji Yoshioka has been praised as “a poet of colors” by the late poet Takashi Tsujii. His paintings depict Europe, the Mediterranean Sea and other land- and seascapes with bold and uninhibited colors. Yoshioka’s work achieves a perfect balance between the abstract and the figurative, and his expressions of multilayered space create surprise and draw viewers into his mesmerizing worlds.
