Noriyoshi Sakaguchi is known for his brilliant and vivid colors, seemingly plucked from the scenery — especially the blues, which have attracted many collectors for their evocative transparency. One of the unique features of his work is that certain paintings almost seem to emit lilting melodies. Sakaguchi’s style is both simple and sophisticated at the same time.
